Shree Gundicha Yatra, also known as the Chariot festival or Rath Yatra, are in full swing as the auspicious procession is set to commence soon.

The Gundicha Yatra of the four deities will take place on 27th June, Friday, in Puri, Odisha. The annual celebrations take place on the second day during Shukla Paksha of Ashada month, according to Hindu calendar.

Jagannatha temple is the Centre of festivities every year where Lord Jagannatha goes to Gundicha Temple along with his brother Balabhadra and his sister Devi Subhadra for 7 days. These 7 days are celebrated as the biggest Festival of Odisha where All the people can see Mahaprabhu outside .

Every year Lord Jagannath comes to outside to see their beloved Devotees , and goes to Gundicha Temple with a Grand Procession.

As per sacred text Skanda Purana, it is believed that the Supreme Lord of the cosmos, Shree Hari, rides his chariot to Gundicha Temple to fulfil his divine promise
